From Venice to Treviso along the Sile

Description of the itinerary:

You can start your tour from Casier SIlea reaching in a few minutes Treviso, characterized by its medieval hystory, its natural beauty and typical gastronomy. If you follow the course of the Sile river you could appreciate the beauty of the wildlife and lost into a bucolic landscape. if you take the opposite direction, you could find Casier city center with its delicious square. You could also find the little town of Cedon. On that side of the river Sile there are two fabulous Venetian style villa called Villa Mantovani and Villa Barbaro.

After an hour by car from Casier, you will reach S.Elena center. This town is a typical example of a confortable river harbor. On that place you will may find the typical boatman who prepares his traditional venetian boat. If you go on you can take the bike and ride to the Giustiniani castle in Roncade.

Pursuing on that way you arrive in Quarto d'Altino, a modern center well-founded during the Rome empire. Its inhabitants established also in Torcello and Venice. At the same time you could find some typical places and small river of the Venetian lagoon.

When you arrive in Torcello you could visit the Devil's bridge, typical example of the venetian buildings similar to the Scalzi bridge and the Rialto bridge.

Another important island of the venetian lagoon is Burano with its characteristic houses. Burano is the most fascinated stop of your holiday.

Murano is the 3rd island that you have to visit. This city is the capital of the Murano blown glass. The tour continues in Venice where the ferryboat stops in front of Piazza San MArco square.
